Hamburg. At first sight not your regular holiday destination. But when it was decided to change places for the German Fetish Ball, from Berlin to Hamburg, it was an easy decision to go to Hamburg for a long weekend.
For months we looked forward to "GFB" 2010 and parked our car smoothly in front of Mr. Chaps Appartment on Thursday early afternoon. Mr. Chaps is one of the main gay shops in Hamburg town, and a recommendation for men - gay or non gay - that want a nice leather outfit. We were lucky that we could book their appartment, having our own private place right in the center (right in the gay district !), of Hamburg.
 
Thursday was the GFB play night. And we sure played! But not at the play party.. for some reason (how rock 'n roll..) we did not manage to leave the appartment....
Instead, we went out (Stefan in his fetish pants!) in some regular gay (cock-tail) bars in Hamburg. That's what freedom is about: having tickets and deciding at the last moment it is fun together as well..
 
On Friday, The German Fetish Ball organised a Fetish Fair, with some of the major fetish coutures of Germany and Europe. The official pre-party was held on Friday in Catonium (http://www.catonium.com). Catonium is a must-see for all fetishists visiting Hamburg! It's a nice, kinky place, with more than some tools available. Catonium was our true highlight of the weekend. The pre-party had a large number of rooms, a good number of bars, friendly people, and everything in the mix to build a party! Our night started good with Gaby being collared.. Saturday, the official GFB Party was supposed to be HUGE! Well.. The first hour or so there were no DJ's and in the middle of the night everything was put down to have an (at minimum..) 2 hours long award and fashion show. The busiest place of the EdelFettWerk location, where the Ball was held, was a spot where they sold all kind of (high-fat!) snacks.. right next to the toilet! The party was still good, by it's visitors being creative, hot steamy sex and so on.. but only in a dark dark shadow of its pre-party.
 
And Hamburg? Hamburg is a brilliant city with a lot to see! We managed to do a lot of sight-seeing (check our Facebook!) and can recommend Boutique Bizarre (www.boutique-bizarre.de) for fetish or erotic shopping on Hamburg's Reeperbahn.
