Just shaking my head reading all the "labeling" of who's conservative or liberal plus their staunch defense of it, like it really describes who they are and everyone else is wrong for thinking otherwise.

Years ago when I when I initially moved to Florida I was host of a daily drive time political talk show on a radio station. Many of my guests gave the usual mumbo jumbo about politics but a few others really educated me about how it's really just a platform to garner the votes from people who are living their lives in a constant state of fear. Porter Goss was a guest on my show 6-7 times then went on to become Bush's CIA director. My military insider knowledge came from my best friend of over 30 years who before his death served as a full Colonel in the USAF in CENTCOM and ironically was the one who introduced me to swinging.

Like a good preacher "putting the fear of God into you", these politicians design their speeches to incite your phobias. Doesn't matter if your Republican or Democrat. It's a way of guaranteeing not only that you will show up to vote but cast it for them as well. The majority of them really don't care about you individually..even on a level as low as a congressman or senator wouldn't take the time to hear your rant face to face instead using a suboordinate to respond to you unless it was an issue that gave them FaceTime in front of the media.

Think about it, if they wanted everyone to vote, would elections be in November?? How about independence day, July 4th instead. Better weather for sure for starters. Why is it possible for us to pay taxes online but not vote? Voting was traditionally done by the wealthy...when it was opened to the general public, women and minorities new rules like gerrymandering had to be enforced or the electoral college to ensure these minions couldn't upset the annual cash flow pipeline to the wealthy.

Republican vs Democrat...please...all depends on your "current situation". That situation is constantly changing or evolving. When I was college bound Jimmy Carter was great since it provided me to attend on full academic scholarship. When I was in business for myself years later Bush helped me keep a lot of my money rather than paying taxes.

If you think by labeling yourself a conservative or Republican when you aren't financially set..ie..making upwards of over a million annually, you still need some liberal Democratic help. Conversely  if you are thinking of maximizing your money in the business you OWN and you are a staunch Democrat...you would do yourself a huge favor to pony up some Republican investors.

This country was and shall always be run on the sacrifices of poor people. Definition of poor, a family making less than six figures and that number is growing rapidly. Poor meaning everything that happens in the economy changes the way you live. People who boast they are rich are really the new middle class. Financial shifts affect them but aren't earth shaking, at least not immediately..but a couple similtaneously will rock their foundation. Wealth versus rich...wealthy people wake up in the morning checking to see how much money they made while they were asleep...self proclaimed rich people still have to go to work to make their money.

Finally, if you are reading on this forum you aren't conservative about anything, more just a selective fan...you may say you do not want someone not of your race, religion, social class living nextdoor when talking to your vanilla colleagues. But what would those same people say if they knew the REAL YOU. I know you don't think I chose this site or lifestyle to find out about what kind of cretin you are during the daytime in the public eye. Who cares if you're the wife of Limbaugh, Chavez, Obama....if we're at a club and Sarah Palin is making eyes at me....I'm fucking her..and making her squirt.
