Trapeze vs. Club Hedonism
Can anyone compare the two clubs for me ? We've been to the trapeze several times but have not been to club Hedonism. Is there a big difference in ages of the people attending either club? Is the music substantially different? Do you need to bring your own Alcohol to CH? Anything anyone can add would be great, thanks!

One think me & the mrs. have spoke about is an "annual mega pass membership" that would allow membership to all 3 or 4 clubs at once. Sort of like if Disney, Universal, and Sea World got together for Florida residents.

I know this will never happen since all clubs have different owners, but we just dont want to carry 4 memberships at once.

Hey, LUVOUR420. Love the screen name!!

We agree completely with STONEMANE regarding Trap. Both posts.

MV has a younger and more latin crowd. The facilities are clean but not as new as Trap. MV also has a higher percentage of voyeur/exhibitionism types, as opposed to full blown swappers, who clearly dominate at Trap.

Throwing Hedo and the other local venues in the mix just means that we are really lucky to have an impressive concentration of clubs in this area. Our advice is to try them all! Not doing so would be like living in Amsterdam and not, well, you know. ;-)

Went to Trapeze last night & now have to say that Wednesday may be our new favorite day. The crowd was only slightly smaller than a Saturday, food was great (Chicken Marsala, roast pork loin), and there were plenty of 30/40 somethings there.

We met a couple single females & went in the back with them and another couple and had a blast. We had heard the Wednesdays are the 2nd best day & now think this may be true. Anyone else go on Wednesdays?

Trapeze = newer & bigger
Hedonism = older & smaller

Type of music played? Who cares?? You are there to swing.

Hey all,
I've been to both as a single female and a couple and I have to say hands down Trapeze is the better of the 2! CH is small and play area is rather small too. The both have a byob policy and yes they both serve food but Trap has food prepared by actual Chefs and their variety of food is excellent and after a night of hanging and going into the early morning, breakfast being served is awesome! I feel that the ages that go to Trap and Hedo are the same, some nights you can find all the younger people you want and then some other nights you have older people. It all depends on personal preference as to what we are looking for.. Remember the nights there are different too, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday Single guy night + cpls and SF and Saturdays and Sundays are just couples and SF...
I have heard about Velvet, one main reason I never went is that I heard that it was very Clicky and if you didn't go with your own group, you were left to hang alone and then what would be the point of going to a swingers club. Also I did hear that it was very spanish speaking down there and I felt for myself that the language barrier would too much to handle..
My suggestion is to go to both of them as well and check them out and see what you feel comfortable with and go from there.. Trap's staff is awesome and friendly and I find that the patrons are very socialable and almost always there is interaction, at Hedo its a bit dark there to mingle and limited on space..
Hope it helps somewhat, after all these are the thoughts from the infamous single female... lol

We went down to S.Florida for the New Year's weekend and had a fantastic time at Trapeze on NYE!!  The crowd was not "retirement" - people of all ages.  We played with both older and younger cpls that night!  The food and atmosphere was great!  I (female) love to dance, the music was good.  Although, could have used more slow songs, to dance slow.  We also went back on New Year's day - and it wasn't as crowded, of course; but met up with another cpl to play and party.  We enjoy the now smoke free atmosphere.  Yes, Miami, better know some Spainish!  We really enjoy Harrison's Wine bar up in Hollywood FL - check that out also.  Great age range and full bar.  Ramada right across the street and not too far from Rooftop.
Enjoy!

Ditto on what BBFRANCO said...We go to Trap for the food...the crowd, at least the guys, tends to be older than she can deal with...usually 50+ with some in the 60's and 70's...

Oddly enough the average age for the women is still in the 30's...

Miami Velvet is a younger, hotter crowd, but a bit snooty and not as friendly...

Being a couple that has been to both clubs, we would have to say that Trapeze is the much better club to attend hands down. CH is ok, but cannot compare to Trapeze for food, staff, and overall club atmosphere. We would have to say that the staff was extremely courteous and attentive at CH, but the ratio is much smaller in comparison to Trap's so it is a bit harder for them to keep it consistent as the night progresses. As far as the age range, Trap does have an older crowd, but that does vary a bit depending on the night that you go. And even on a night were there are more older people attending, there are still quite a lot of people in the 30's or 40's to converse, play with, etc. I wouldn't say that there is a vast difference in the age group between then 2 clubs, but since Trap is larger space wise, it does allow more of the younger age group to attend and give a more than adequate percentage to more than balance it out. The DJ is better at Trap, but he does need to learn how to read the crowd better and get more people dancing when he sees that what he is currently playing isn't quite cutting it. You do have to bring your own alcohol to CH just like Trap as well. Every once in a while we will notice that CH will state that they will honor other current club memberships, so when they do, that would be a good time to check it out and save the membership fee in the event that it isn't your cup of tea. :)

That's kind of what I'd heard regarding Velvet... I have enough trouble hearing through the loud music....I don't need a language barrier to boot Lol...plus it is quite a drive...at least the Trap is only about 1/2 hour away... Hedo is 10 minutes max so I'm curious to hear about it.. Maybe we'll just ahve to go experience it to know :)

Trapeze may have an older crowd, but there are certainly many people under 50, especially on Saturday. She is 33 and has found many playmates her age.

I have "heard" that you need to speak Spanish to fully appreciate Miami Velvet, but that it does have a younger crowd. It is also a bit of a drive for those of us who live in Palm Beach County. Never been to Hedo.

I have not been to either club, but I have heard that Trapeze is like a retirement home for swingers. I don't know how old you are but if you're under 50, you should try Miami Velvet.  It has a younger and more attractive crowd.  It is more like a South Beach club.
