| Safe Sex |
Hi Elvis/Swinging Couneslleor Bod
A couple of years back we asked SDC the question..."why don't you promote safe sex, what about an add for durex?" i got the reply "this is something we feel strongly about and are working on" Well two years later other than in members blogs i have seen nothing about safe sex.... Is SDC still working on this? Or was it not viable as there was no money to be made? Many of your members have paid life time membership... although safe sex is everybodies personal responsibility, wouldnt it be better with a little encouragement...just like paying the life membership worked with a little encouragement from yourselves? ;-)
Love you Elvis!!

Most people don't give oral sex when the other person is wearing a condom or barrier and both gonorrhea and chlamydia can be transmitted orally. Condoms can also break during intercourse.
I'd like to see SDC promote people having regular STI health checkups as I'm getting annoyed with the amount of swingers not getting tested. I've already put something on my profile about that and I've also emailed you guys asking you to promote it more heavily.
I've heard that if you mention or promote this it puts people off, well these are the people who SHOULD be put off!!! People who don't get tested are playing russian roullette with their friends health and do you really want to go to a party where half the people have no idea if they have an infection?
Please SDC, promote regular sexual health checks before something nasty happens in the swinging community.

Safe sex is promoted all the time in the questions and answer sections and most if not all blogs sections. The message of safe sex is pretty evident in branding and promotion but I agree with you it can never be instilled too much. The most important is that one practices. There has been attempts by companies to have a regular testing say one time per month. None have succeeded that I know. The argument is always, you got tested today and got something the next day so at the end one must always assume safe practices at all times. Then again you one must realize that you can drive safely and still get killed in a car accident so there is always a risk or gamble.

| Ok so maybe i should apologogise for not making my self very clear, the point i am trying to make here is not that SDC needs to promote safe sex aids but safe sex itself....like hygene, clean ss and the odd HIV test maybe? you know a little sex education? Yes its about hooking up, we are all here for fun... and before we go down the route of "why do i need testing if i were a condom" case closed! |

Hi, can you elaborate on what you mean? I mean everyone uses condoms and in the 14 years doing this 99% pracice safe sex. So what in particular are you wanting? Durex is the condom that has broken them most in my experience. Promoting a condom company or product leaves little room for open conversation of brands etc. Not that this is my department, but the site is to meet others not to move product. My 2 cents.
