GENERAL

Q: Why are not all locations made known on the site?
A: Because of reasons of privacy, safety and contractual restrictions.

Q: When do I find out the exact address of where an event takes place?
A: Those with a confirmed booking will find out approximately three months in advance.

Q: Can I call you to discuss my booking?
A: Of course! You can call our offices from Mo – Fri 9:00 am to 4:30 pm EST at +1 919-283-4414

Q: Can I email you about my booking?
A: Absolutely yes, our email is travel@sdc.com. And inside the site look for profile TRAVEL. We respond to emails 7 days a week.

Q: How do I change my email for my reservation?
A:  If you have made a booking with us, you will need to contact us by phone or email as we need to ensure your new email address is assigned to your existing booking
so you don’t miss out on any information about your vacation.

Q: What is the age-range for your events?
A: Our couples range from about 25 – 65 years of age.

Q: Are all events all-inclusive?
A: No, make sure to check that the event you are interested in is all-inclusive or not so you can take your budget into consideration.

Q: When an event is all-inclusive, what does that mean?
A: It means that all your regular meals and drinks are included. Venues may charge additional for certain meal options or a la carte dining and brand alcoholic beverages.

Q: When an event is not all-inclusive, what exactly am I paying for?
A: You are paying for the room (usually includes breakfast) and the lifestyle elements that SDC delivers.

Q: Are taxes included in the pricing?
A: Yes, taxes are included in the pricing. However, many resorts charge a nominal amount per day for government-imposed resort taxes. Those you will have to pay directly to the resort upon arrival.

Q: Can I bring alcohol to the venue to save money at the venue?
A: Most venues either prohibit this and/or may charge a steep corkage fee if you wish to enjoy outside bought bottles in the restaurant(s).

Q: I have a place close by and am SDC member, can I attend the event without booking?
A: No, only guests with a confirmed booking are being allowed into the venue.

Q: I have friends close-by the location, they are SDC members too, can I invite them into the event?
A: Unfortunately no, only guests with a confirmed booking are allowed to enter the venue.

RESERVATIONS

Q: Can I bring a third person?
A: Some hotel rooms do allow for a third person, but there is a charge and it is subject to availability. Furthermore, the third person cannot be a single male.

Q: Can I book just a few days of an event?
A: No, these are full take-overs and  you can’t book a partial event.

Q: Are single men allowed?
A: No, we only allow couples and single females to book our events.

Q: Can I book as a single female?
A: Yes, please realize that the pricing is based on double occupancy and we don’t discount or charge-up for single occupancy.

Q: I have booked online, what information can I expect to receive?
A: Closer to the event by email you will receive the theme nights and after that you will get any necessary specifics for the event.

Q: Does the price include travel insurance?
A: No, we strongly advise to take a travel/cancellation insurance with your preferred provider to protect your investment.

Q: Does SDC offer travel insurance?
A: No. If you are a US citizen, we can recommend 
TravelEx for a reliable service.

Q: I need to book extra nights, can I do that with the hotel directly or through SDC?
A: It’s best to book your extra nights through SDC where possible as that enhances your chances of being able to stay in your room for the duration of your vacation

PAYMENTS

Q: Do you only accept American Express?
A: No, we accept every major credit card. Just continue to fill out the form.

Q: I tried to book online but my credit card was refused, what do I do now?
A: We recommend you contact your bank or card issuer to check your credit limit and make sure the provider allows for the withdrawal of funds. For any other payment issues, please contact our team and we’ll be happy to process your reservation/payment for you.

Q: I want to change my payment plan from regular to monthly payments, can I do that?
A: No, once a payment plan has been selected, we can’t change it in our system.

Q: Can I pay off the balance at an earlier date than it states on the invoice?
A: Yes, just contact the ladies in TRAVEL or send an email to travel@sdc.com

Q: My credit card information has changed, can I change that myself?
A: No, you’ll need to contact us by phone or by email to give the new information.

Q: I wish to make a payment, is there a link so I can do that?
A: No, you will need to give us the information, so we can process the payment for you.

Q: Can I make a wire transfer instead of a credit card payment?
A: Yes, please contact us by phone or by email, so we can give you that information.

Q: I won a travel voucher, can I apply it to an existing booking?
A: No, travel vouchers can only be applied towards new reservations (restrictions apply).

Q: Do I have to pay for anything else during my stay?
A: Every venue will offer extra amenities that may come at an additional cost.
This could be charges for room service, a la carte meal items, certain brand alcoholic beverages, shuttle fees, resort fees, parking fees,  spa services, etc.

FLIGHT TICKETS AND TRANSFERS:

Q: Does the event price include flight tickets?
A: No, the price is for the event stay only. You still have to book your own flight tickets.

Q: Does my booking include the transfers to and from the airport?
A: No, you will need to arrange these separately. You can arrange them yourself or use the transfer service we offer when available and we’ll arrange it for you.

Q: Is the transfer I book through SDC a private transfer?
A: No, even though you may very well be the only couple in the taxi, it depends on the amount of arrivals if you’ll be sharing the transfer with other SDC couples.

CANCELLATIONS

Q: I couldn’t make it to the event, do I get my money back?
A: No, no-shows do not warrant a refund. For those not arriving on the first day and without a message to SDC, the room flows automatically back into our inventory at midnight and may no longer be available to you.

Q: When a family member or I get sick or get into an accident or any other emergency situation occurs before or during the event, do I get a full refund?
A: Please check the cancellation policy before you book, we strictly adhere to it. We are happy to assist with any claim for your travel insurance.

Q: I have booked, but am having second thoughts, do I get a refund?
A: Please check the cancellation policy, there is a moment where you get a full-refund minus penalty.

Q: I am a good client, can you give me a refund when I ask for it plus waive the penalty?
A: All clients are per definition good clients, in order to keep it fair to all so the cancellation policy applies to all.

Q: I have cancelled, how do I get my money back?
A: When you cancel within the refund period, a check will be sent. This process can take up to 15 days.
Alternatively you may request a bank transfer, but the cost for this will be at your expense and deducted from the total.

Q: Can I gift or sell my reservation to another couple if I can’t make it?
A: Gifting or selling existing reservations is not allowed. Full name changes are considered cancellations and are handled as such. SDC reserves the right to deny entry for any person not on the confirmed guest list, SDC member or not.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT

Q: Do I need a credit card for check-in?
A: Yes, most venues require a credit card upon check-in to charge incidentals.

Q: Can I check-in if my partner can’t come with me?
A: No, we require both to be there at check-in. If not, you’ll have to wait till your significant other arrives.

Q: If my partner has to leave during the event, can I stay though?
A: No, if one partner leaves, the other partner is required to leave at the same time.

Q: I am arriving early, can I get into our room upon arrival?
A: That depends on whether your room is ready at that time.

Q: I wish to have a late check-out, is that possible?
A: Yes, usually this is possible if the room is available that day at an extra cost determined by the venue.

THEME NIGHTS

Q: Will there be any themed nights?
A: Yes, all our events have theme nights.

Q: When will I find out what the theme nights are?
A: About 3 months prior to an event, the confirmed guests will be notified of the theme nights and soon after they’ll be posted on the site.

Q: Do I have to adhere to the dress-code for the theme nights?
A: No, yet it’s definitely encouraged to participate with the dress-up as it greatly enhances your overall experience and party vibe.

Q: I don’t like to dress-up for theme nights, can I still book?
A: Yes, it’s not mandatory to dress-up, you are free to dress as you please.

CLOTHING-OPTIONAL/SEXUAL ACTIVITY

Q: Can we be as naked as we please?
A: It differs per venue. Other than in Cap d’Agde, in general venues allow for nudity at the pool(s) and SDC hospitality area(s) and topless on the beach, yet require a proper cover up in public spaces and restaurants.

Q: Can I have sex anywhere I please?
A: Other than in Cap d’Agde, most venues will have a special hospitality area(s) for this purpose and for hygienic reasons, a no-sex-in-the-pool rule is enforced in all locations.

Q: Do I have to have sex at an SDC event?
A: No, the events are for you to completely relax and feel free to be you! 

Q: Are there certain rules I need to take into consideration?
A: Yes, there is a conduct policy/house rules for each event, that may vary per event. You agree with this the moment you book with us.

Q: Does SDC provide condoms and lubes at events?
A: No, you’ll need to bring your own preferred brands for your personal hygiene.

CRUISES

Q: What is included in the price?
A: Your cabin, taxes, fees, gratuities, all your meals, house wine and beer during lunch and dinner, coffee, tea, soda’s, water.

Q: Do I tip on board?
A: All gratuities are already included in the price, but you may wish to tip for extraordinary service as you please.

Q: Do I need a passport to go on board?
A: Yes, only with a valid passport you’ll be allowed on board. An identity card is not sufficient.

Q: My passport is only valid for 4 months when I travel, is that okay?
A: No, your passport needs to be valid for at least 6 months after your return.

Q: Are there drink packages available?
A: Yes, once on board, you can purchase drink packages.

Q: Where and when can I book excursions?
A: A few months before departure day, those with confirmed reservations receive an email with their online registration information. After registration you can book excursions. You can also book excursions when on board.

Q: What is the spoken language on board?
A: The program and spoken announcements are primarily in English, but we’ll have announcements in Spanish and the SDC team speaks Dutch, German, French and Spanish as well.

Q: I need to get off the ship earlier, can I do that?
A: Most often yes, but you’ll need to indicate this ahead of time and this needs specific confirmation of the cruise company.

Q: Can I book a hotel before or after the cruise through SDC?
A: No, you can make your own arrangements. We usually do suggest suitable hotels based on recommendations.

Q: Can I smoke on board?
A: There is a dedicated spot at pool deck where you can smoke, all other spaces are prohibited.

Q: What is the voltage on board?
A: The ship has both 110V and 220V in your staterooms

Q: Is there a laundry facility on board?
A: Yes, it’s available 24/7

Q: Are there stores on board?
A: Yes

Q: I have a diet, can I be accommodated?
A: Yes, if you indicate on time to the cruise your dietary restrictions they are more than happy to see how they can accommodate your diet when possible.

Q: Do I have to make reservations for dinner?
A: No, it’s open seating. There are 2 specialty restaurants that do require reservations and there is an extra charge per seat.

Q: Is there a safety box in the cabin?
A: Yes

Q: Can I be naked everywhere?
A: As with all events, the pool area is clothing optional as is the playroom. However, all other spaces require a proper cover-up.

Q: A friend wants to visit me on board, is that possible?
A: No, due to strict cruise regulations, visitors cannot be allowed on board

Q: Can I bring a third person for the cabin?
A: Some cabins do allow that space, but it will come at an extra cost and is subject to availability. The extra person cannot be a single male.

Q: Is there a doctor on board?
A: Yes, if you need to visit, there will be a cost you have to pay on board, and you can claim this amount later with your insurance company.

Q: I get seasick easily, what can I do about this?
A: The vessel has stabilizers that will prevent most motion, but if you do feel sick, they ship provides medication to help. Ginger is also good to bring as well as those patches and bracelets.

Q: Can I drink the water from the faucets.
A: No, this water is good for showers and brushing your teeth, but not good for drinking. Bottles of water are included in the price.

Q: I have a special occasion while on board, can you arrange something festive for me?
A: The team will do special shout outs, but if you need something special arranged in the cabin, this may come at a price. Best to let us know your wishes way in advance.

Q: Can I bring a kettle or iron?
A: No, these items are prohibited for safety reasons. There is an iron and board in the laundry room.

REVIEWS

Q: Are the reviews real?
A: Yes, the reviews can only be left by valued members who traveled with us.

Q: Where can I find the reviews?
A: Go to profile TRAVEL and click on any event to find the review button.

Q: Can I take pictures and video at events?
A: Considering the discreet nature of our events, the answer is no. SDC furthermore strictly prohibits pictures and video taken from shows, entertainment at the pool(s), playroom and disco.
You may only take a picture of video of yourselves or others only with their explicit permission.
