Come to party with us and lets celebrate our first Juneteenth Holiday. This party is for everyone who wants to celebrate the importance of this day. This party is about people coming together as a family with the understanding that still theres much to be done.
Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, finally came on June 19, 1865, when some 2,000 Union troops arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas. The army announced that the more than 250,000 enslaved black people in the state, were free by executive decree.
