Personal matchmakers help identify and vet prospective matches, hand-select compatible connections, coordinate private introductions, and assist with date arrangements and curated lifestyle experiences. Silver Chain's presence on SDC represents only a small portion of our broader membership and event activity, so attendance shown here doesn't reflect total participation nationwide. How Membership Works Getting in starts simply. Submit a free membership application. Silver Chain covers the full cost of onboarding. Criminal background checks, membership advisor time, and legal review are paid for upfront by us, and applicants pay nothing to apply. That's a real investment in every person we consider, which is why we only welcome people who are serious about being here. Once you apply, a membership advisor will reach out to schedule a brief phone screening: a chance for us to get to know you, and for you to ask questions of your own. During screening, you'll choose how you'd like us to contact you going forward. Silver Chain Membership Advisors include professional investigators responsible for background screening, legal professionals who support organizational compliance, and lifestyle veterans with more than 15 years of experience navigating the interpersonal dynamics of swinging, polyamory, hotwifing, kink, and cuckolding. Select advisors are also licensed mental health professionals with specialized training in sex-positive approaches. Safety and Background Screening To protect the safety, privacy, and trust of our members, Silver Chain conducts national and, when applicable, international criminal background checks, including screening against the Dru Sjodin National Sex Offender Public Website. Every prospective member completes a phone interview, criminal background screening, and sex offender registry screening. International checks apply to applicants who live outside the U.S. or have documented international travel or event history within Silver Chain's network. Guests attending private experiences are subject to screening and confidentiality requirements. Automatic Disqualifiers An individual is not eligible for membership, or for introductions to current Silver Chain members, if their record includes any of the following. A disqualifying record means a conviction (or, where stated, a civil judgment or court finding) under federal law or any substantially similar state, tribal, or foreign law. The statutes cited are examples, not an exhaustive list. Violent Offenses 1.1 Any felony conviction involving violence. 1.2 Any misdemeanor conviction involving violence or assault. 1.3 Any conviction for assaulting a law enforcement officer, including under 18 U.S.C. 111. Sex Offenses 2.1 Any sex offense conviction, regardless of when it occurred. 2.2 Any current or past sex offender registration requirement, including any listing on the Dru Sjodin National Sex Offender Public Website (NSOPW) or any state registry. Trafficking and Exploitation 3.1 Any conviction related to human trafficking or forced labor, including violations of 18 U.S.C. 1589, 1590, 1591, or 1592. 3.2 Any conviction related to the abuse or exploitation of a minor or an elderly person, including offenses under Chapter 110 of Title 18. Fraud, Dishonesty, and False Statements 4.1 Any misdemeanor or felony conviction involving theft, fraud, or dishonesty. 4.2 Any conviction for perjury, including under 18 U.S.C. 1621, or any civil or criminal court finding that the individual committed perjury. 4.3 Any conviction for knowingly making a materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement to a federal or state official on a matter within that government's jurisdiction, including under 18 U.S.C. 1001. 4.4 Any conviction under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, 18 U.S.C. 1030, or a comparable state computer crime law. Extortion, Blackmail, and False Allegations 5.1 Any conviction for extortion or blackmail, including under 18 U.S.C. 873 or 875. 5.2 Any civil judgment finding that the individual engaged in extortion or blackmail. 5.3 Any civil judgment finding that the individual made knowingly false allegations against another person, such as a judgment for defamation, malicious prosecution, or abuse of process. Threats, Intimidation, and Offenses Against Government Authority 6.1 Any conviction related to the malicious disclosure of a public official's personal information, including under 18 U.S.C. 119, which covers knowingly making restricted personal information about a federal judge, law enforcement officer, juror, witness, or their immediate family members publicly available with intent to threaten, intimidate, or facilitate a crime of violence. 6.2 Any conviction for seditious conspiracy under 18 U.S.C. 2384, involving two or more persons conspiring to use force to overthrow, destroy, or oppose the authority of the United States government. Controlled Substances 7.1 Any conviction for distributing a controlled substance, or for knowingly and unlawfully possessing one with intent to sell, deliver, or transfer it, including under 21 U.S.C. 841(a)(1). Criminal Street Gang Offenses 8.1 Any conviction or sentencing enhancement for an offense committed for the benefit of a criminal street gang, including under 18 U.S.C. 521 or a comparable state law. Silver Chain is committed to an environment where members feel safe, respected, and free to connect with confidence. Every application and introduction is individually reviewed to determine whether a disqualifying record exists and whether the information belongs to the individual. When a verified record meets one of the standards above, the individual is ineligible for membership and introductions. Acceptance is never guaranteed. These standards apply equally to everyone and are unrelated to anyone's lawful, consensual lifestyle interests. If you're unwilling to participate in our screening process, Silver Chain isn't the right community for you. Good-faith reports of concerns or misconduct are always welcome and protected. These standards exist so every member can relax, connect, and trust the people in the room. Your Data Discretion is only as strong as the systems behind it. Here's how we protect yours: Background checks are conducted by Silver Chain Social Club's screening team. Screening results are reviewed only by Silver Chain's screening team and are never shared with other members. Your information is protected with AES-256 encryption and stored in an offline database. If you are not approved, your screening data is deleted immediately. We never sell, rent, or share member information. Privacy and Confidentiality Once approved, you'll sign a confidentiality agreement, standard for a private community that takes member privacy seriously. It includes a lifetime prohibition on photography, video, or public disclosure of any member's participation, identity, or likeness without explicit consent. All Silver Chain staff, advisors, and matchmakers are bound by the same confidentiality obligations. From there, the fun begins.
