A great read
Everyone's journey is different but this book really spells out some of the highs and lows of the lifestyle. Communication that must be present throughout, the feelings that arise during play, and the boundaries that must be respected. We really appreciated you both laying out your feelings that arose no matter how painful or uncomfortable they were. We love the lifestyle but it truly isn't always about the play aspect as much as the mindset and the communication it opens up. Thank you so much for writing this. We got the digital copy and the next day bought a physical copy so we could both read it together.

I just finished the book, and have not stopped taking about it with my wife for the last couple of days. Congratulations on the wonderful text and on the honest assessment of yourselves and your experiences. To us, readers, it’s been a mix of identifying thoughts and experiences in common, learning about our own mistakes and about things to do (or not to do), and thinking about experiences and places we still want to go through. Thank you for the hours you spent working on this, and for helping all of us learn so much from you.
Very real, but still processing
I started reading this 6 hours ago and just finished it. Holy crap to have all of that on paper. We have had a lot of the same lifestyle experiences and we started in much the same way, although not with 25 years and 2 kids together under our belts. We’re on our second life, trauma and cheating spouses in the past, building our house together late. Just relatable in so many ways that it was hard to put down. We don’t have the control or the jealousy issues on the male side but very similar on the female side. We are just now at the point of not being disappointed when the “fantasy” doesn’t come together as expected. We also appreciate the nights that spontaneity fosters some incredible experiences and savor those all the more. Really enjoyed this read.
