✨ What to Expect
🕯 The Sorting Ceremony & House Points

Every great magical academy requires a completely arbitrary system for dividing its students into competing factions. Naturally, ours will be no different.

Upon arrival, willing students will be assigned to one of several Tudor Academy Houses, each representing an extremely important magical virtue. Your House will earn points throughout the night by completing challenges, winning duels, displaying magical competence, committing impressive acts of mischief, and occasionally bribing faculty.

Your House may also lose points. We haven't decided what for yet and we reserve the right to deduct points strictly because we feel like you haven’t had been dealt with strictly enough.

This gives the faculty tremendous discretionary authority, which is an important part of any authentic boarding school experience.

At the end of the evening, one House will be declared the winner and receive glory, honor, and the unbearable satisfaction of being able to mention this victory for several months afterward.

🪄 Practical Spellcasting (Dark Room)

Loosen your robes and ready your wand! In this course, we’ll learn to cast illumination spells so that we can find each other in the dark. Everyone enrolled in the practical spellcasting course will be given a device they can charge up with magic capable of broadly signaling to others where they are in the Dark Room, but pinpointing down to the inch exactly where everyone is located will require a bit more… exploration.

Dark Room rules will be posted right outside the door. Please give them a quick read before heading in.

🧪 Potion Cocktails and Mocktails

We’ll have themed mocktails available throughout the evening, as well as cocktails for anyone who would prefer their mysterious bubbling liquid to have been prepared with a bit more kick.

Cocktails are BYOB.

⚔️ Wizard Duels

There will, inevitably, be dueling. Centuries of magical scholarship have produced no more sophisticated method of resolving academic disputes than pointing a wand at someone across a room.

Students will face off in magical challenges to determine who possesses superior reflexes, cunning, theatricality, and ability to wave a wand.

Expect several different styles of duel throughout the evening. Looking fabulous while shouting nonsense is a considerable advantage.

🖤 Play Space & Dungeon

Certain magical disciplines are simply too specialized for the standard curriculum. The play space and dungeon will therefore be open throughout the evening for independent advanced study.

Equipment includes:
St. Andrew’s Cross & spanking bench
Chain spiderweb
Liberator
Reverse & coffin glory holes
Massage table
Over 300sqft of beds

No professor will be grading your technique… unless you specifically arrange that with them in advance.

The candles are lit, the books are open, and the Restricted Section has been inadequately secured. The faculty has already begun awarding House points.

So study hard.
