Very low turn out
Too many single men. Not enough couples. Bad turn of folks.
Sexy Lingerie Party at Shadows
This was an excellent party and hope to host more in the very near future.
Lots of potential for this new club
We attended the opening night of this club. There were a number of things that made it clear they're just getting underway, but the staff were all very friendly and tried hard to accommodate. Nice buffet of strawberries, grapes, carrots, cookies, and the like. Very clean, as you would expect for a brand-new facility. A little hard to find, in an area of warehouses and such that doesn't see much traffic. There is a very large dance floor, with couches all along one wall and in an opposite corner. Music had decent variety. Initially too loud for conversation, but the DJ lowered the volume to where it was both OK for dancing and OK for trying to meet and mingle. There is a small locker room (bring your own lock), which you pass through on the way to a single large room with a chandelier and 5-6 beds all pushed together in the center of the room. Extra fitted sheets and condoms were available. There's also a large drape over a doorway that provides access to the back of the bar, for those people who don't want to get dressed to go get a drink. The crowd was quite small, but a number of very attractive couples, all of whom ended up in the back play room. This club has a lot of potential, especially because there is no other on-premise club this close to downtown DC and Northern Virginia. They say they will be open Thursday through Sunday nights, also unusual. The play area needs to be expanded -- some couches along the wall of the single large play area would be a good start -- but there is plenty of room for additional play areas and maybe breaking up the oversized dance floor. This would be a fun place to invite a couple dozen of your friends for dancing and flirting (not nearly enough room for all of them to get on the beds), for theme parties, and the like. Hope it thrives, so the proprietors can invest in further improvements.
